One super easy home decor piece you can make is a wind chime or a baby mobile. You can pick up almost any vintage trinkets to create whatever look you want. Tie these items to strings and a hoop to create a super whimsical piece. Our favorites are these ones using keys and spoons.

Another great way to upgrade your vintage pieces is adding a fresh coat of paint to give them an updated and unique look. For extra vintage effect, distress the piece. To do this, apply vaseline to the piece on the edges before painting. Then, paint to your liking with a matte chalk paint. Then, once it's dry, wipe away the areas where you'd placed the vaseline. This technique can bring any piece of furniture back to life.

One really cool design idea is for wall art. They aren't exactly vintage, but give off a vintage and old-school feel. Patents are public domain and can look really cool as art work. If you're struggling to find what art you want, this is a great option, and even a gift. You can go to google.com/patents and search literally anything to find a cool design. Here are a few we love and think would make awesome wall art.
